I love Montana. I love the mountains and the plains. I love the trout and the rain and the snow and the oppressive summer heat. I love Yellowstone and Glacier and Pompey’s Pillar and the M outside Bridger Canyon. I love the towns and the highways and most everything in between.
I don’t love Montana’s per capita income, which ranks 39th among the 50 states. I don’t love out-of-state money driving up real estate prices w/o doing much to help create new wealth for Montanans. And I don’t love the fact I couldn’t figure out how to put those macro-trends aside and make a career in the Big Sky State. Yet.
Mostly, though, I love Montana.
