John C. Shepard, AICP; is a development professional, active in land use, and community and economic development, for 30 years across the Midwest, Great Plains, and Rocky Mountain states. From helping communities draft comprehensive development plans grounded in both facts and public participation to facilitating practical implementation actions, zoning, and economic development projects, Shepard is a well-rounded community steward. John is also an amateur historian, avid outdoorsman, and occasional music critic.
Mr. Shepard is a graduate of the University of Illinois and the University of Colorado, and holds certifications from the National Development Council and the American Institute of Certified Planners. He currently serves as a board member on the American Planning Association’s Small Town and Rural Planning (STaR) Division.
